What can WebLS do?

WebLS can...

• allow you to explore the web in a whole new way
• reveal what is normally hidden or forgotten
• spy on websites without actually visiting them
• show the best performing (most interesting?) documents of a website
• show search engine penetration of your website
• be buggy, it's still in development

What can't WebLS do?

• give accurate file listings
• give recent file listings
• give complete file listings
• fix global warming

Why is it named WebLS?

Well....it's like ls...for the web....

How was WebLS built?

Ingredients:

• 1x Google Web Toolkit
• 1x Yahoo! Searchi API
• 1/2 teaspoon of Open Source Widgets
• 3 cups of creativity

1. In a small bowl, stir the Google Web Toolkit using a NetBeans blender.
2. Dissolve the Yahoo! Search API into the bowl. Stir and add the creativity.
3. Beat the creativity until a smooth surface starts to appear, add Open Source widgets by taste.
4. Let stand until creamy.
5. Serve the meal with some advertising garnish
6. ???
7. Profit! (yeah right)

Why was WebLS created anyway?

Fun. Curiosity. Shameless self-promotion. Keeping my web programming skills in shape. 

Why does it have Google ads?

Because Yahoo! Publisher Network only allows U.S. citizens to apply at the moment.
